With the French title Cloud Rock, mon père the award-winning documentary by director Kaleo La Belle about his Hippie father Cloud Rock premiered in Paris this past week. The director and his father Cloud Rock, the film’s protagonist, were both present at the premier at the Reflet Médicis movie theater in Paris.

The short film Seven Years of Winter by director Marcus Schwenzel receives the Prize in the category Best West-Danish Film at the 22. Nordisk Panorama Film Festival in Aarhus. The film was co-produced by mixtvision.

On October 30th 2011 Beyond this Place is shown at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City. The two musicians Raymond Raposa and Sufjan Stevens who are responsible for the documentary’s soundtrack will provide a live score of the soundtrack.

This year’s Documentary Film Award of the Fünf-Seen-Filmfestival goes to Goodnight Nobody by director Jacqueline Zünd. The film is another coproduction of mixtvision Film & TV and the Swiss production company Docmine.

The short film Seven Years of Winter has been selected for the competition of the 22nd Nordisk Panorama – 5 Cities Film Festival in Denmark. On September 24th and 25th it will compete with 13 other films in the category “Best Talentfilm 2011”.
 


On August 3rd, the two award-winning documentaries Beyond this Place and Goodnight Nobody will be shown at the Fünf-Seen-Filmfestival. For the fifth time the festival presents international films at different locations of the Fünfseenland (Five-Lakes-Shire) in southern Bavaria (27.07.-06.08.2011).

On May 19th mixtvision and Docmine present Goodnight Nobody at the Cannes Film Festival. The award-winning documentary, directed by Jacqueline Zünd, will be shown within the accompanying programme ACID which promotes the worldwide distribution of documentary films of high artistic value.

The production companies mixtvision and Docmine will be represented by their successfull coproduction Beyond this place at the DOK.fest Munich this time. The Isar metropolis in the first week of May traditionally is marked by the sophisticated documentary film (May 4 to 11, 2011).

In co-operation with mixtvision director Marcus Schwenzel shot the short film Seven Years of Winter in Kiev, in the area of the Chernobyl disaster. In the run-up, the sensitively composed screenplay already has been awarded several prizes at internationally renowned film festivals. The film presentation begins with the premiere in Berlin April 19, 2011 within a charity event.

At the 33rd Festival international de Films de Femmes in Créteil (march 25 to april 3, 2011), Goodnight Nobody was awarded best documentary. The film by Jacqueline Zünd received the Anna Politkovskaïa Prize, totalling 1.500 euros.

Film director Jacqueline Zünd was awarded the Jury Prize at the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival. This is the fourth award for her moving film Goodnight Nobody, which is still playing in Swiss cinemas and at international festivals.

The documentary Goodnight Nobody was awarded the Swiss Film Award "Quartz" for best film music. Composer Marcel Vaid was honored for succeeding in denoting the artistic approach of the film also on the musical level.

At the beginning of the year, the "Bayerischer Rundfunk" (Bavarian Broadcasting) starts the satirical program "Klugsch-Eisser Co.KG" with cabaret artist Bruno Jonas representing the owner of a consulting agency located in Munich. mixvision has been in charge of the setdesign, the directorial concept as well as the graphic package.

On December 9, 2010 Kaleo La Belle´s multiple award-winning film reaches the cinemas in Switzerland. In Beyond this place, the young director succeeds to present a very personal screen debut facing his own past. An emotional roadmovie full of compelling images which lead back to the roots of the hippie movement.

„Gut zu Wissen“, the charity gala in favor of the Welthungerhilfe (German Agro Action), was very successful again in its latest installment (24.11.2010, 20.15). Again, what made the show so special was the combination of quiz and talk elements. mixtvision developed the concept in cooperation with Spiegel TV infotainment and also oversaw the editing.

Within the annual award ceremony of the "Zürcher Filmpreise" the documentary film Goodnight Nobody is honored by the City of Zurich. Director Jacqueline Zünd and production companies mixtvision/Docmine receive one of Switzerland’s most highly paid film prizes for their successful co-production.

After several awards at festivals abroad, Goodnight Nobody is happy about a success at one of the most important documentary festivals in Germany. The film by Jacqueline Zünd has been awarded an honorable mention in the category „International Competition documentary film“ at the DOK Leipzig.

After having been awarded the „Prix Création“ at its premiere at the festival „Visions du Réel“ in Nyon, Beyond this Place was screened at the „Hot Docs“ in Toronto the first week of May. In the beginning of June, Kaleo La Belle’s film was shown at the 50th anniversary festival Krakow and was awarded the „Golden Horn“ as best documentary film.

The documentary movies Goodnight Nobody and Beyond This Place, scheduled to be released in movie theaters in 2010, will be presented, amongst others, at the „VISIONS DU REEL – Festival international de cinema“ in Nyon ( April 15-21, 2010). The Swiss documentary festival counts as one of the most important international festivals.

They will start this cooperation with two very different movies: Beyond this Place, a roadmovie to the roots of hippie culture and Goodnight Nobody, a cinematic essay about the mysterious world of the sleepless.
